The deep vocation of José Ignacio Linazasoro has led him to investigate essential issues of architecture, its material or constructive constitution and the way in which meanings and values take shape in it; we find in his work a constant reflection about art itself. This monograph gathers, in 290 pages, his main works from 1994 to the present, developed at the level of plans and constructive details. From the UNED Library to the recently completed NSA11 homes in Vallecas and other projects still in process with his partner Ricardo Sánchez.

When contemplating Linazasoro's work we see how knowledge infiltrates and we check with pleasure the way in which what was thought and created in previous historical moments is reinvented and taken to a new life. His work that is fed by deep historical roots also opens to the air that corresponds to our day. He manages the referents of history freely, without prejudice, in a discontinuous and fragmentary way.
