Jean Prouvé belongs to the generation of "sons" of the Nancy School, and from this rich heritage, he retained the creative principles and methods of enlightened craftsmanship. In Lorraine, all facets of Jean Prouvé's work are illustrated, as well as experiences that take on particular importance there: indeed, most of his metalwork production is gathered there, its evolution demonstrated through period documents and current photographs, from the first entirely forged pieces to the stainless steel and aluminum creations, with their extraordinarily contemporary aesthetic. After the war, he participated alongside Le Corbusier in the construction of temporary pavilions, some of which are still in use today.
