Services
Our Library Service
William Stout Architectural Books has worked with offices, schools, and interior designers to build a variety of design-focused libraries from scratch. This service draws on our extensive, gold-standard collection of architecture and design publications, and on our team or expert booksellers with backgrounds in architecture, art and design history, and library science.
From curation to installation, our library service adapts to your project's needs and constraints.
Engagement can take whatever form suits you: from client-driven, private sessions held in person, to detailed briefs with iterative collaboration, to fully hands-off curation by our team.
What is included:
- Thematic development from your brief
- Research-driven curation
- Acquisition
- Revisions/Client collaboration, if desired
- Installation coordination with your team - or - Installation and delivery by our team
This service carries a service fee, plus the cost of books.

Events
From parties, to lectures, to trivia nights, you may have experienced some of the events at Stout Books. If you'd like to host one together, here are the two ways we work:
-
Collaborative event:
An official Stout Books event aligned with both parties' mission and perspective. -
Tabling service:
Do you need to offer design book sales at your event? We table on-site with our own staff, handle all ordering, and manage any returns. This service carries a $500 fee to cover associated costs.
We need about six weeks' notice to table, and we finalize our events schedule for each quarter at the start of the preceding quarter.

Loans
Stout Books loans from our inventory to professionals at 50% of an item's retail value per 48-hour period. Our art, architecture, design, and fashion titles are well suited to styling vignettes, staging shoots, dressing trade-show displays, and event styling.
Pick your own or we can curate for your project for a service fee. Contact us with your specific needs for more details.
