L'Esprit Nouveau (The New Spirit) magazine, founded by Le Corbusier, Dermee, and Ozenfant, in 1920, addressed a wide range of artistic disciplines including literature, visual arts, and architecture.
L'Esprit Nouveau was published originally in Paris between 1920 and 1925 in 28 undated numbers issued at irregular intervals. This Da Capo Press edition, an unabridged reproduction of the entire series, consists of 8 separate volumes. The original 28 numbers are divided among these 8 volumes as follows: 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-13, 14-16, 17-20, 21-24, and 25-28. Pagination of the series is inconsistent throughout, and particularly in the last 3 volumes. In French.
