A portfolio of plates from the 1950's [1955-59] when Avedon was working for Harper's Bazaar; presented as a facsimile of a working notebook, with photos in 8x10 contact print format. Accompanying essay, "Hidden Women," by Judith Thurman. The subject models include Suzy Parker, Gardner McKay, Audrey Hepburn, Buster Keaton, and Dovima (with the famous rearing elephants portrait)
