Modern Mexican architecture has one of its greatest representatives in the city of Puebla. With a history of more than 50 years, Mario Bautista and Elsa Alonso were pioneers of modernism in this city. Founders of the Faculty of Architecture of the university and later of the Society of Architects of Puebla and the College of Architects, Bautista was in charge of the design, direction and construction of the University Hospital. His works are a reference in the capital of Puebla and several of the projects of the firm he founded have been awarded and recognized in the Biennials of Architecture of the State of Puebla, and others nationwide.
