KUMA. Fischer, Volker and Ulrich Schneider
eds. Pap. Basel, 2008
Book ID: 78165
Focuses on Kuma's first project in Germany - a highly innovative teahouse for the park of the Museum of Applied Arts in Frankfurt am Main. This air-supported form is activated by a compressor system and unfolds like a blossom fashioned from the semi-transparent high-tech material GORE-Tenara, and at night it is illuminated in a soft light as a result of integrated LED lighting. This project is a symbol of modernity rooted in tradition as well as being a spearheading example of temporary and mobile building. English/German.
