One of the most important events in the world of illustration, the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Childrens Book Fair, has reached its fiftieth edition. So much has changed in these 50 years but the wish to create a space where new illustration work of quality can emerge has remained unchanged. The 'Illustrators Annual 2016' brings together the work of 77 artists selected from around the world. With a cover illustration by Laura Carlin, the book contains, along with the selected works, contributions from the five members of the jury: illustrators Nathan Fox, Taro Miura and Sergio Ruzzier, and publishers Klaus Humann and Francine Bouchet.
