Blumenfeld born in 1897 in Germany after the 1st world war lived 17 years in Holland as a bookseller, art dealer, and leather goods dealer as he was developing his art. Bankrupt he moved to paris in 1936 and became a very famous photographer, he died in Rome in 1969.
