This collection of museum buildings have invariably been bound by the limitations of the site along with the tacit need to appropriately respond to, and respect, history. The Museum of Roman Theater, Cartagena, by Rafael Moneo, Herzog & de MeuronÕs Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, and the Ozeaneum by Behnisch Architekten have all chosen specific solutions to deal with these problems and are some of the eight buildings examined here. Further, ten projects by Serie Architects are surveyed, including the Guiyang Huaxi Urban Center; the RC Office Complex and Tote projects in Mumbai. All works and projects are accompanied by photographs, descriptions and technical drawings.
